Platform for a New Dawn: Killing Your Weak Self to Embrace Your True Potential

God wants us to embrace breakthrough. You are not designed to live an average life. You are to get brighter and brighter until the day of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Your life doesn’t have to be the same as last year. Claim your life of increase in both finances and health. The weak version of myself needs to die to make room for the new creature. The two cannot abide simultaneously. You need to make that choice each day.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live,

Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV

Transformation takes some form of action.

Romans 8:13 for if ye live according to the flesh ye shall die, but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live.

Identify the thought processes and patterns that you have.

That was a weak moment. What led you there? Anger? Get delivered from it so it cannot be used against you again. It is an open door for the enemy.

Ephesians 4:27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

James 3:16 for wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

Romans 12:2 don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Renewing means doing it over and over again. Weakness tries to set in by the lies you have been told and believe. So what are you meditating about day in and day out? What is keeping you in a state of weakness?

Meditate on the Word of God.

Joshua 1:8 I have a part to play, and it starts in my mind. I need to be renewing my mind with the Word daily. You need to know what the Bible says, you need to know what God thinks about you.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. -God

When you understand what the Word of God says about you, that’s when it all changes. Your confessions will be different and because of that your life will change (life and death is in the power of the tongue.)

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Receive the Holy Spirit so that you can withstand the devil. You need to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance in every area of your life.

Kill off the doubt. Kill off the insecurities.

The opposite of weakness is power, so if there is ever a time where you wish to say to yourself that you do not have power, rest on the power of God. Cry out “Father, help me.”

Hebrews 12:11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Weakness in the body goes away eventually if you work out in the gym. It is not pleasant. It hurts to do the reps. The next day you can’t move your arms. But it is at that point that the muscles begin to build.

Pain is Weakness Leaving the Body

In order to grow strong in something, weakness has to leave. Break away from weakness. Discipline is required. It is hard and painful but make it a point to do it.

Get in your Bible daily. Get into the mindset of victory every day. By the blood of Jesus, you have victory. The killing of the weak self requires much discipline. You must deny yourself of the comfort zone, get away from what you have been doing. Line it up with what God says. There is growth in that.

Do not avoid the issues of your life.

If I do not get rid of these things, they will kill me, keep me from my promise land.

Get uncomfortable. Keep increasing and getting better.

Thank you, Father, for divine wisdom. Thank you, Father, that your kingdom is based on increase.

What makes you strong in the spirit?

Prayer. Fasting. Obedience. Those that love Me [Jesus] do what I say. You have to be intentional because that is the only way strength will come into your spirit.

God has given us a spirit of power, love, and soundness of mind. We have to get in alignment with His Word.

Identify your weaknesses. Weakness needs to leave the body. God gave us a spirit of power and self-control.

Live like the new creation you were created to be.

Put on the cross. Take off the flesh and recognize there is a better way, the right way, to end up where you are meant to end up. Put on the new self.

Acknowledge that you are no longer a slave to sin. Put away the weakness.

The new you reflects God image. The new you is full of understanding and wisdom, so walk confidently in the identity of God knowing that the old you is dead and you are a new creature. The new me lives to be at peace with my brothers and sisters.

Father, I ask you to burn out every form of weakness from every last person that reads this. Thank you that great and wonderful things are coming. Thank you that the weak self is dead, and the new creature is alive and well and in connection with you.
