Begin Your Hero’s Journey Today

Such a time as this.

The timing for this teaching couldn’t be more perfect considering last night marked my second meeting with the local Women’s Entrepeneur Group, and it was so beneficial.

There is no substitution for vision.

We created vision boards for our 2025 goals after listening to the Director of our local Chamber of Commerce speak to us on the benefits of the Chamber. [Fascinating, really.] This was my first time doing something like this to this degree and magnitude and I loved the results and plan to share them with you at another time.

This evening at the Wednesday night service, Revival Today had Adam Lamb speak. If you are into finance and fitness, this guy is worth checking out.

Let’s get into it.

Let’ go to another level in finances.

People have a heart to do things, but they do not know what they are doing so they tire easy. They work hard but have nothing to show for it.

The labor of a fool so wearies him [because he is ignorant] that he does not even know how to go to a city.

People that live holy should not be broke.

Do not reject wealth.

Money can’t buy your salvation, but other than that, it is the answer for everything.

Don’t be too dumb to prosper.

God did not fill the Bible with random bullcrap. Everything in that book pertains to life and godliness.

A feast is made for laughter,
    wine makes life merry,
    and money is the answer for everything.

Learn from people who can teach you.

Stop wasting your time in all these other directions that do not have anything to do with your goal. Then it begins to make money for you.

People’s problem is not that they don’t read, but what they do read is pointless. Why are you taking a class on Flat Earth? How is that going to make you money? Focus.

Do you know what your biggest problem in life is?

You.

If you can hunker down and take action, you’re going to go places. The only thing that stops you is you. If you take the stance of a victim, that removes the responsibility you have to take the microscope over your life.

Fixing life positively and negatively: The six human needs.

1. Certainty
2. Variety
3. Significance
4. Connection and Love
5. Growth
6. Contribution

Think about things that are going on in your life, things you wish you were doing, things you like and don’t like. Why do we do it? What is not working? Find something negative and swap the need, make the positive change. Take inventory and make the adjustment.

There are losers by choice, and there are winners by choice.

‘For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Do you believe this? If so, are you taking action? Faith is action. Do stuff. Make moves.

Hero’s Journey

When you watch an action movie, do you identify with the hero? Do not be a non-playable character. Do not mope about aimlessly in life. Be intentional with all your stuff.

Change your state.

When it is time for action, get into position. There will be a shift in your body language, behavior, and speech. You’re going to act different if there is a person breaking into your home in comparison to someone else if they had just knocked at the door.

You have to become a certain version of yourself. If you do not feel like the hero, then you are the zero. Do not find safety in a weak circle. Don’t be the king of the crap heads. Disrupt that pattern so you can see what is possible.

The Bible is full of hero’s journey stories.

There is a legacy to build.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.

Psalms 32:8 AMP

Do you believe this? You can be the hero.

To go on this journey there has to be a desire. It’s what gets you out of bed in the morning. It is what motivates you and what you live for. Find a tangible desire to start your Hero’s Journey. Money is important.

Wealth, power, influence: I want all three.

God wants to bless you with it too. Search your heart and figure out what is limiting you. Get rid of self-limiting beliefs. Be in vulnerable situations. God knows your heart and if your heart is unwilling to take action, why would God give you anything knowing it won’t become anything?

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of your heart.

Psalms 37:4 AMP

Make a decision that you are a world changer. Be willing to do, you can’t just say. Your heart has to believe it. Sometimes life does not reflect the desires of our hearts. That’s why it is a journey.

You don’t need a college degree. Quit limiting yourself. You can get books on your phone; you don’t need to even read them with your eyes. The world is at your fingertips.

Adam mentioned the two books he is reading lately, and he highly recommends them. The first is “The Law of Success” by Napolean Hill and another “Turning Pro” by Steven Pressfield. These will aid in leveling up your life. We are basically all amateurs in life and that is why we need to level up continually.

What is the problem that will get you fired up?

There will always be an opponent. You need to have a battle plan. Daily goals, weekly goals, etc. You have to have a plan and be able to measure it. In every hero’s journey, there is a battle.

Some of us are scared of the battle and the frustration. There are things that I crush in a morning that will take someone else a week. But there was a time when it was hard for me too.

At the end of every journey, there is growth.
