Prayer and Fasting 2025: Day 10

“Path to a New Dawn: 10 Bible Attributes that Need to be in Place to Go to the Next Level”

Let me lead off by saying if you did not start the fast with us and wish to begin now, it is not too late to get on board! Claim the scripture of how there were workers who did not show up all at the same time, but they all received the same wage at the end of the day (Matthew 20:1-16). You can still reap the same benefits!

Day 10 is here! We are at about the halfway mark and what a time of blessing it has been already. Speaking of which, it was a blessing in disguise having the technical difficulties yesterday as the list Jonathan originally planned to use was expanded and better developed. It went from six-ish to ten key points. He also said that the video has been fixed, and you should be able to see it in its entirety through the old link.

Let’s dive in!

Please read 1 Samuel 17:1-58 for today’s sermon notes!

10 Bible Attributes that Need to be in Place to Go to the Next Level

Ephesians 5:15-16 “Redeeming the time for the days are evil.” It means packing twice as much into one day as it can hold. Make your days count.

  1. Take the opportunity when it comes.
    • The opportunity of a lifetime must be taken in the lifetime of the opportunity.
    • If you are going to operate at a high level, how can you make excuses when the door opens? Those are tests from God to see if you are willing to leave the sheep for the battlefield to go toe to toe with Goliath. There likely won’t be a next time. When God gives you an open door, you better walk through it while it is open.
    • High level achievers don’t care for your slowness.
    • Recognize an opportunity that isn’t a regular opportunity.
    • If you know it is from the Lord, take it.
  2. Remove double mindedness.
    • James 1:8 [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].
      • Irresolute: showing or feeling hesitancy; uncertain.
    • Micah 6:8 God shows us what to do. He isn’t going to show you step two if you haven’t started step one.
    • Exodus 14:15 God said, “Why are you crying to me?? Get moving!”
    • You lose more in life to indecision than wrong decision. If you lose it, you lose it, but it is called currency because it is meant to keep flowing.
    • David rolled the dice. I will not be risk adverse. I refuse to be risk adverse.
    • Commit to something and whatever you find for your hand to do, do it with all your might.
    • Make big moves this year! Give it your all. Go for it. See what you can do.
    • GET THE MONEY. Quit saying you don’t have enough. Get it.
  3. Be really good at something.
    • Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see a man diligent in his work? He will not stand before mere men.” I will not stand before mere men. I will not spend my life around people of a poor level.
    • Don’t try your best. Be the best.
    • The more you can narrow down what your thing is, it starts to make it easy to make decisions in life.
  4. Be consistent.
    • Galatians 6:9 we will reap if do not faint. Let us not be weary in well doing.
      • Acts 19:9-11 Paul preached daily for 2 years.
        • What am I adding to people’s lives that they can’t get anywhere else?
      • Joe Rogan did podcasts daily and see where he is today. Systems over goals.
        • What are you building? What’s the point of your thing? Not everyone lives in your little town, so talk to the world.
  5. Be innovative.
    • Proverbs 8:12 witty inventions.
    • What separates you? Otherwise, you will be just like everyone else. This world will try to make you put Sauls armor on, but David committed to his five stones and sling. Find your five stones.
      • Stand out.
      • Be unique.
  6. Appearance matters.
    • 1 Samuel 16:7 I’m not trying to win God over. Man looks on the outward appearance.
    • Persuasion is everywhere.
      • What do you choose to wear? Your clothing sends a message about who you are.
    • Class attracts class. Excellence attracts excellence.
      • Make up your mind, when are you going to start to look your best?
    • Credibility is currency.
    • You behave and make decisions based on how you look, whether you know it or not.
      • Either do it with excellence or don’t do it at all.
  7. Monetize the thing that you do.
    • The laborer is worthy of his hire. 1 Timothy 5:18
    • Proverbs 14:23 in all labor there is profit; but idle talk only leads to poverty.
      • Talk brings poverty, work brings profit.
      • Don’t share your ideas, show your ideas.
      • The greatest way to help the poor is not to be one of them. You can’t lift people out of poverty if you are in poverty.
    • Time is money. The more money as a righteous person that you have, the more people you can help.
      • If you’re going to do something, make it worth your while.
    • Proverbs 12:24 work hard and become a leader. Be lazy and become a slave.
    • There is nothing wrong with an excess in money. Then I can help someone else.
      • So, ask yourself, how am I going to monetize the thing I am doing? If you are in business, make money. It is a way to take money out of the hands of the wicked.
    • Don’t be allergic to money.
  8. Harness the power of your word.
    • David killed Goliath with his words before he ever killed him with the stones.
    • Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”
  9. Make the expansion of the kingdom of God your primary objective.
    • An uncommon, practical commitment to the kingdom of God.
    • Matthew 6:33, “But seek ([a]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([b]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [c]taken together will be given you besides.”
  10. Have a kingdom giving goal.
    • What am I believing to give?
      • $20,000 in 2025
      • 1 Chronicles 29:3  Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, in addition to all I have prepared for the holy house, I have a private treasure of gold and silver which I give for the house of my God.
        • What would represent a seed of sacrifice for you?
      • Be sure that it is good soil!
      • Uncommon seed produces uncommon harvest.

What was your favorite point of today? For me, number 10 stood out as this year I hope to sow my largest seed to date, and it truly spurred my faith on. It is going to be a great year!

If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, pray this now;

“Father, I admit that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead. Right now, I receive forgiveness and turn my back on sin. By the blood of Jesus, I am saved, I am clean. In Jesus name, amen.

Until next time, my friend.
